Heart disease is known to be the number one killer in the world. The continuing clogging, hardening, and damage done to the inner walls of our blood vessels are the number one cause of heart disease and strokes. The process of atherosclerosis, which is the hardening of the arteries, will result in poor circulation of blood to the extremities, our brain and other organs.
The accumulation of fatty substances on the inner walls of our blood vessels begins early in childhood and slowly continues throughout life because of the modern lifestyle.
There is undeniable scientific evidence that high blood cholesterol levels are related with increased risk of coronary heart disease. It has become increasingly apparent that the direct relationship of cholesterol level to risk of heart attack exists in any way. Heart disease is a condition that is reversible through aggressive nutritional involvement and lowering cholesterol level. Heart disease is caused by some factors like high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, smoking, and many more. A person is like to get a heart disease if there are too much cholesterol or fatty substance build up in the inner walls of the coronary arteries.
Coronary arteries are the blood passages to the heart. If totally blocked, heart attack happens. Smoking is most definitely a big contributor to heart disease. Cigarette and tobacco smoking damage arteries which lead to heart disease to heart attack, and much worse- death!

You probably know that brushing and flossing your teeth can help you prevent bad breath, cavities, and plaque. But, do you know that gum disease may affect your cardiovascular system? Well, that’s what most of the recent studies have found out. According to one particular study published in the 2005 edition of the journal Circulation, “taking good care of your teeth and gums could prevent you from having a stroke or heart attack.”
The link between gum disease and heart disease has actually been studied for years, but until now no concrete evidence can support the theory that gum disease can cause heart disease.
